New Hartford Artisans Guild Plein Air Paint Out at Mystic Seaport
Join the New Hartford Artisans Guild for a day of outdoor painting at historic Mystic Seaport on Sunday, August 2, 2026. This exciting plein air event is open to artists of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals.
Registration Fee: $45 per artist (non-refundable)
Schedule:
8:30–9:00 AM: Registration and canvas stamping
9:00 AM: Painting begins
Around 12:00 PM: Lunch break
1:00–3:00 PM: Afternoon painting session
3:30 PM: Artists Reception and Awards Presentation
We are honored to welcome Karen Bartone as our juror. Karen will be present throughout the day observing artists at work and will present 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Awards during the reception.
Artists are encouraged to paint throughout the beautiful grounds of Mystic Seaport and capture the unique maritime charm of this iconic destination. Admission to the museum is included at no additional charge for registered participants.
Please bring your own easel, display equipment, and any materials needed to exhibit your finished work during the reception.
This event is rain or shine, so please plan accordingly and come prepared for the weather conditions.
