Big Works Show Submission Payment

from $25.00

Big Works is a juried exhibition presented by the New Hartford Artisans Guild that celebrates the power, presence, and ambition of large-scale art. On view from July 8 through August 8, 2026, the exhibition brings together a diverse range of two- and three-dimensional works unified not by theme, but by scale. With the only requirement being that at least one side of each piece exceeds 24 inches, Big Works invites artists to think expansively and create without constraint.

Free from thematic limitations, the exhibition encourages bold experimentation across mediums—painting, sculpture, mixed media, and beyond. The result is a dynamic and engaging presentation where each work commands space and attention, offering viewers an immersive visual experience. Whether through sweeping gestures, intricate detail on a grand scale, or striking material presence, the artworks on display explore how size can amplify meaning and impact.

Big Works highlights both emerging and established regional artists, reflecting the vitality and diversity of the contemporary art community. The exhibition underscores the New Hartford Artisans Guild’s commitment to supporting artists and providing opportunities for ambitious, high-quality work to be seen and appreciated.

An opening reception will be held on July 11, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM, inviting the public to meet the artists and experience the exhibition in a lively, welcoming setting. By emphasizing scale as both a physical and conceptual element, Big Worksoffers a compelling exploration of how art can expand beyond boundaries and transform the spaces it inhabits.
