About the New Hartford Artisans Guild
The New Hartford Artisans Guild was founded by Nicole Desanti and Kenneth Masslon. Their journey began as studio neighbors in the Hurley Business Park of New Hartford in 2024, and shortly after becoming friends they discovered a shared commitment to expand art access in their community. When a rental opportunity for a small gallery space arose in the same building, they eagerly embraced the chance to create a community-focused venue, and the Guild was born. In August 2025 the organization expanded to the third floor of the Hurley and now occupies a 2,500-square-foot main gallery; the original second-floor space has been reimagined as the Greenwoods Gallery.
The guild has approximately 170 members and hosts a new art exhibition every 4-6 weeks. We have opportunities for individual artists, groups of artists, arts organizations and more.
For members, the guild hosts a monthly members’ dinner, annual member’s exhibition, Summer BBQ and Holiday Party.
Our mission is to put money back into the hands of the artists. We strive to keep our submission fees and commissions as low as possible. We hope to engage the New Hartford community and the broader region through art, arts education and connection.
