Door to door mobile art experience with the New Hartford Artisans Guild
When art comes knocking, we must create.
The traveling easel is a completely random door knocking experience that brings the arts to your doorstep. 20 minute fine art focused projects are designed to inspire and renew your spirit for creativity right on your own doorstep. All materials are provided. Think of us like Mary Kay, Comcast or JW but instead we are facilitating the arts within the communities. We can’t think of anything better!
Questions & Answers
Can I schedule a visit? No, well more specifically, not this particular experience. It is completely random. We would be happy to discuss your ideas for a home visit or art party.
you absolutely CAN suggest streets + towns if you know your neighborhood would be receptive to this experience - but it will still be random!
How does it work? We select the days and times that we think are best suited to the community. We bring all the supplies with us, knock on your door and say “Do you have 20 minutes to make art today?”
How many people can you instruct at one time? We assume a family is generally 4 people. 5 is truly our mobile limit. We want to make sure we can complete the project within our time frame.
What if I have pets? We kindly ask that all pets, no matter what their temperament are put away if you’d like to create something with us!
Does it cost anything? Nope. Absolutely free. We would be happy to share more about our Artisans Guild and community if you’d like to hear about it, if not, thats cool too.
What are some of the projects you offer? Watercolor painting, basic landscapes, color theory, still life drawings, collage, mixed media, painting/drawing techniques and demos, and so much more!
Who are you? We are passionate members and teachers at the New Hartford Artisans Guild who value the lost art of conversation, the importance of community engagement and also love the element of a good SURPRISE!!!!
Safety???? Safety is very important to us, we reserve the right to refuse or terminate any art project if our safety or your safety is in question. We respect your property, privacy and right to refuse.
Can I invite you in? We prefer to do our art projects outside, we have designed them to be simple, easy and effective right at your doorstep, driveway or front patio.
